Save the forests in Madagascar and make children smile!

The forests in Madagascar are decreasing and deserted grasslands increasing due to excessive logging operations for fuel wood materials. Landslides are occurring all over the deserted grasslands. To help stop the deforestation, we set up Satoyama Energy School which offers studies to use sustainable energy. It include making of charcoal fuel with sawdust and rice hulls, installing of biodigesters for cattle manure and solar cooking. This project aims at spreading a message to protect the forest. We change their lifestyle which depend on firewood and charcoal too much and teach them the importance of using renewable energy.
